In the song Farmer's Daughter Rodney Atkins talks about the idea of his reason to work was he fell in love and there is always some type of reward at the end of your job.. He hated it because it was so hot outside, and it’s really hard work. He was thinking about quitting until he saw the farmer’s daughter. Then suddenly he liked his job and stuck it out. He’s glad he didn’t quit. In the song he said “I was cussin' out loud, thinkin' bout quitin'” Not every job is fun but it gets the pay and at the end of the day there will be a reward. And for his reward it was the farmer's daughter. “Cause just when I thought it couldn't get no hotter I caught glimpse of the farmer's daughter.” I agree just because a job is hard and you don’t like it doesn’t mean you should quit. In the end you will be happy and him and the farmer’s daughter fell in love and get married and he is still a farmer but now he comes home to the farmer's daughter.
