In the film Office Space Peter Gibbons is tired of working in a small cubicle and is tired of “staring at a computer screen all day”. Peter and his two friends try to steal money from the company a little at a time but, it goes wrong. Peter prepares to take the fall for the crime but when he goes back to the company he sees it on fire. The fire solved the money problem but now Peter is out of a job. He ends up working with his neighbor in construction. When we see him working in the end he seems much happier than he did in the office. He has a smile on his face and makes conversation with the other workers that’s not about how much their job sucks. When his friends show up they tell him they could get him a job in another cubicle but he turns them down. He then says that his job isn’t so bad because he “gets exercise” and likes “working outside” all day. It becomes clear that Peter works to be physically active. Peter was tired of staring at one thing all day but with a job in construction he gets to move around and be active. Even if it is more tiring at least he gets to do more than sit for the whole work day. I think for some working to be physically active is great. If no one wanted to work to be physically active we wouldn't have personal trainers, or fitness classes, or even professional athletes.
