Above and Beyond to achieve your Education!

 

In the book What the Best College Students Do, the author Bain uses many different learning examples throughout the book. But the one that sticks out to me is a “deep learner” a learner who was above and beyond for his/her’s own knowledge. For example Bain says is , “Don't do it for the teacher, they learned,do it for yourself. Do it because it serves your need to grow.” A deep learner doesn't study or research material an A in the class, they do it because they want to know more about that subject. I was always a “Strategic Learner” I study what I needed to know for a good grade then forget about what I just learned after the semester is over.”deep learners do it for their own knowledge even though the teacher asked for certain things. This term is productive because in the long run your education will go by faster if you just find a way to enjoy the subject you're taking.
