In the film Office Space Peter Gibbons is tired of working in a small cubicle and is tired of “staring at a computer screen all day”. Peter and his two friends try to steal money from the company a little at a time but, it goes wrong. Peter prepares to take the fall for the crime but when he goes back to the company he sees it on fire. The fire solved the money problem but now Peter is out of a job. He ends up working with his neighbor in construction. When we see him working in the end he seems much happier than he did in the office. He has a smile on his face, his body posture seems more relaxed and comfortable, he sighs in relief not frustration, and instead of the camera looking down at him we are finally eye level. This shows he doesn't feel less important than the others around him. He makes conversation with the other workers that’s not about how much their job sucks but instead talks about the day. When his friends show up they tell him they could get him a job in another cubicle but he turns them down. He then says that his job isn’t so bad because he “gets exercise” and likes “working outside” all day. It becomes clear that Peter works to be physically active. Peter was tired of staring at one thing all day but with a job in construction he gets to move around and be active. Even if it is more tiring at least he gets to do more than sit for the whole work day. We see a big change in Peter's attitude in the end and we see how much more he likes his new job than his last one.
