In the article A life Beyond 'Do What You Love' By Gordon Marino, he made a point that his father didn't do what he loved. Marino argued that his father simply worked for his family. His father did not like his job at all but stuck to it for the family. But there can be a problem with that. Sometimes when you work for your family you have to make time to prioritize Work and Family. You will sometimes work such long hours that when you get home you are to tired to socialize with your family to see how their day went. In some house holds thats normal, you will work any crazy hours just to pay the bills so your family will have a house and the things they need.
Growing up my dad has owned his own business. I didn't see it so much when i was little but, now i can see that he will work crazy hours to provide for us. There was a point where he would drive to San Diego from Temecula 7 days a week just to manage his business so it didn't crash. I would only get to see him when he got home late we ate dinner and then maybe an hour in the morning before he left,It was hard. But now he takes the weekend off so he can spend more time with us. But back to the point where you work for your family, some parents can't afford to take the weekends off and spend time, but at the same time it is really important to make time for your family as well as work.
